Job Description
We are looking to hire a Plant Head, for our new state-of-art Foam Moulding Division in Sricity, who will be responsible for the overall operations of the plant, including production, maintenance and finished goods while ensuring that policies and procedures are followed.
The job responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
Construction and Planning:
Oversee Construction: Manage the entire construction process, ensuring it aligns with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Facility Planning: Develop and implement plans for the plant layout, equipment installation, and infrastructure setup.
Resource Management: Manage resources, including materials, labour, and equipment, to ensure efficient construction.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks during construction and develop mitigation strategies.
Legal Compliances: Ensure certification and adherence to all relevant health, safety, environmental regulations, labour laws, Factory Act as well as other legal requirements specific to the industry and location.
Operational Setup:
- Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules, processes, and workflows for the new plant.
- Quality Control: Establish and implement quality control procedures to ensure products meet required standards.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure the plant adheres to all relevant safety regulations and standards during construction and operation.
- Equipment Management: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and operation of all plant equipment.
- Staffing & Training: Recruit, train, and manage the initial team of plant personnel.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the plant’s operational budget.
- Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Operational Management:
- Planning and organising: Planning, directing, organizing, coordinating, and controlling all the functions of the plant
- Ensuring quality: Ensuring that the plant produces safe products at controlled conditions
- Improving processes: Investigating and implementing innovative manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve product quality
- Maintaining records: Maintaining all IMS records of productions, machine, and mould maintenance
- Adhering to standards: Ensuring adherence to defined Standard Operating Procedures and safety standards
- Developing processes: Assisting in developing processes that will maximise stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity
Mandatory Requirements:
- Knowledge of latest manufacturing technologies in the plastics industry
- Expertise in production engineering, manufacturing operations, production planning control, maintenance, production scheduling, and machine operating
- Knowledge of automation and Industry 4.0
- Experience of TPM/TQM and Kaizen
- The ability to identify and resolve complex operational challenges
- Familiarity with relevant safety, environmental, and quality regulations
Language Preference: Should be able to read, write, and speak Telugu along with English and Hindi.
Note: The candidate will be required to spend first 6 months at our Chennai plant in Sriperumbudur while setting up the Sricity plant in Andhra Pradesh. Candidates who hail from Andhra Pradesh or wish to relocate to Andhra Pradesh for personal reasons, will be preferred.
